• The mission of the International Center for Law and Religion Studies at BYU Law School is to “help secure the blessings of freedom of religion and belief for all people.” The online courses offered by the Center provide an opportunity for individuals to learn more about the international human right to freedom of religion or belief.



Available courses

This course introduces students to international freedom of religion or belief. The course discusses (a) why freedom of religion or belief is important, (b) what freedom of religion or belief protects, and (c) how the concept of human dignity can help address challenges to human rights, including freedom of religion or belief.
